Mac Miller - Talk About

I'm not going to lie, ever since I went to the Mac Miller concert and everyone was hating on him, I have not really listened to him. That being said, I am happy to post this song as it is what hip hop is all about. A great beat. Great lyrics. Fire.

Eminem ft. Royce Da 5’9 – Fast Lane

I'm just going to say this is a very exciting song for a fan of classic Eminem. If any of you out there in cyberspace have the Slim Shady LP you will realize that Eminem and Royce have a group called Bad Meets Evil, which until now seems to have been disbanded. This here is a track from an upcoming project called Bad Meets Evil and i must say its straight lyrical fire. Eminem and Royce are possibly one of the greatest duos to ever grace the hip hop genre, and its in my opinion that they have never had a bad song together, if you don't believe me, take a listen for yourself.

Mac Miller - Fun is for Everyone (Volume 4)

With somewhat of a lack of new music coming out at this time of year, Mac Miller is still giving us some entertainment. I want to be Mac Miller

Saint - Juice (I Get Paper) Remix

Another good ole Saint track for ya. He chose a great tune to throw down on here. It is certainly one of my favorites

Lupe Fiasco - Words I Never Said (Official Video)

Wow. I think I got goosebumps from this video. I'm almost speechless.

Fatso Returns Again

Fatso Returns

Rest Assured - Dominance

I might post a new song by these guys every day. I've been bumpin em since Easter and I don't think I'll stop anytime soon. Thanks kaysuLLy

Problem feat. Chevy Woods - Do It Again

Chevy does work on this track. Don't sleep on Chevy cuz he definitely has the potential to get big on his own, without being pulled along by his fellow Taylor Wiz Khalifa

Saint - I Shut It Down

Here's some Saint for ya! Per usual, our boy should work on his hooks but his lyrics are clever and his flow is excellent. Enjoy the kid from CCHS

Ludacris ft. Slaughterhouse & Claret Jai - F5 (Furiously Dangerous)

This song makes me want to drive really fast on the highway through heavy traffic. This'll be on Fast Five which comes out Friday. Make sure you check that one out! And come catch Luda at Merrimack College tomorrow night at 8 pm with the one and only Rudy Currence. Tickets are online at etix.com!

Beastie Boys - Don't Play No Game That I Can't Win (ft. Santigold)

Here's some more new Beastie Boys with that old school feel. This is another track off their upcoming album Hot Sauce Committee Part 2 which comes out May 3 so be ready for that!

Rest Assured - Soldier (King Cobra)

Let me answer your questions. Rest Assured is a two man rap group from the Merrimack Valley. I think what they really need is some advertisement and we'll give it to them. Rappers with this much talent deserve more than 250 views on a youtube video. I think these kids are great. The first person on this and on the on the hook is Rhapzadist. This kid's got some talent. I can see him actually doing something in the game. He makes a rapper like Chris Webby look like a piece of shit. Although that might not be saying much as far as talent is concerned, Webby has released 5 mixtapes and made a good deal of money from performances and merchandise. The next verse is done by Derek Coleman. He puts in a pretty sick verse too. It's not like these guys haven't been found yet, as they have opened at the Middle East in Boston for Joe Budden and at Harper's Ferry for Nappy Roots. From what I see, there's a pretty sick crew here with some a lot of talent, some very meaningful lyrics (reminiscent of a young Lupe Fiasco) and a hard flow (something like an Immortal Technique). Look for more from them in the future. Shouts to kaysuLLy on the find

Here's some new 50 for you. To me, this is very reminiscent of the 50 Cent from Get Rich or Die Tryin or The Massacre. I like what I see and I hope to hear more from our good friend Curtis in the near future.

Curren$y - #jetsgo

go out and buy this on iTunes! Curren$y gives out so much free music that you can't help but wanna help a brotha out. This is a great track. I can already tell this is gonna be one of my favorite Curren$y songs even after just a coupe listens

Throw Back Saturdays

This is a swell track by Drake, back before his major label debut. I think we can all appreciate some old Drake these days who was arguably better in the days before being on a major label.

Wiz Khalifa - DayToday (Season 4 Episode 1)

He's already back in action for a new season of DayToday. Wiz is definitely one of the most likable guys in the music industry and that's probably why DayToday does so well. It certainly gives him that grassroots fanbase every artist looks for. Knowing not only the music of the artist but the artist him or herself is a very important part of the industry. Go Wiz!

The 58's - The 58's

I know that we posted about them yesterday, but I really want to encourage everyone to go out and snag this mixtape. Again, I don't know much about these guys and I don't know if they're planning on doing more projects after this one, but I really like their sound a lot. A nice chill flow, similar to what we see from Trademark or Roddy.

The Lonely Island - Motherlover

This track came out in 2009, but for some reason it decided to surface unedited yesterday. The Lonely Island never fails to entertain, and paired with Justin Timberlake they produce straight comedic fire
Motherlover

Fabolous - The Soul Tape

Fabolous released a new mixtape yesterday, and as I have not had a chance to listen to it, I have such faith in Fabolous that i'll say this tape will be great! Take a listen for yourself

The 58s feat. Mac Miller - Mary Jane (Produced by Johnny Juliano)

Honestly, I have no idea who The 58's are. I'm trying to do some research and I think their facebook page is the biggest thing about them, where all of 440 people like them. Now, this Mac Miller feature could do a lot for them, given his exponentially rising popularity. All I can say about them is that I'm pretty sure they're from Pittsburg and they have connections with a lot of big name producers for a group who's first mixtape was released earlier today. You can download the whole mixtape here. I haven't heard a lot of it yet but but from I have heard, it's pretty good. Keep an eye out for them, I know I will

Chiddy Bang Freestyling for 8 hours?

You read correctly ladies and gentleman. Chiddy from Chiddy Bang is looking to break a world record for freestyling by going for 8 hours straight. I don't know how good it will be, but time will tell. His freestyles are typically very good and fans say that's the best part of his shows. What exactly is freestyling? He can't stop for more than 3 seconds. Now that's a challenge! I'm just wondering how he's going to pee, eat, drink, and God forbid poop!

Here's an example of how good of a freestyler he really is

Piff Jar (Mixtape)

This mixtape dropped yesterday and guess who's on it: MAC MILLER! It's the Best Day Ever! In my opinion, for the most part, the rest of the mixtape is pretty good too. Get it

Wednesday, April 20, 2011

Wiz Khalifa - Wizdom (Mixtape)

Here's an unofficial mixtape of unreleased tracks from the young Wiz. And when I say the young Wiz I mean the YOUNG Wiz. We see a lot more of his old style in these tracks and you gotta love it. This is a really good piece of work for unofficial business. I just wish they would label Chevy Woods as Kev Tha Hustla, as clearly this comes from his younger days as well

Rick Ross - Super High (Sativa Remix feat. Curren$y and Wiz Khalifa)

Here's an instant classic in my eyes and a song/video I thought fitting to listen to today. Enjoy

Snoop Dogg feat. Willie Nelson - Superman (Video)

Snoop's been tweetin this one up for a minute and here it it. I know our boy Dat_Kid_from_CT_turned_Masshole will be happy to see this one. Let's pay some respect to the two ageless wonders everyone

Curren$y - Covert Coup (Mixtape)

4/20 is finally here everyone! With it, comes an array of awesome music and "festivities." Curren$y dropped his latest mixtape at midnight and like anything else from Curren$y, it's silky smooth. My quick instinct is to say its better than his latest mixtape Return to the Winner's Circle, but we'll see if I feel the same way after a few more listens. Enjoy my friends, and happy holidays

The White Panda - Stereo Hands

I know this came out a little while ago but as far as mash-ups are concerned, this is pretty good. I would expect nothing less from The White Panda. Thoze Foolz got Skillz that Killz. I'm feelin like this would be a good party hit, given the popularity of both songs in it and the pace of the song.

Warren G - This Is Dedicated To You

Warren G is to release a track called This Is Dedicated To You for his homie Nate Dogg. As many of you know the two of them worked on many tracks including Regulate. I'm glad to see one of the pioneers of the G-Funk sound laying one down for the Great One. I eagerly await this song, and if you listen to the snippet above you can see why.

Tisa Snapbacks

Shouts to Chuck E. Cheese on this one. Check out some ill snapback hats from Tisa. They got some sick team logos and a pretty nice logo of their own. A little pricey if you ask me but you can't deny the fact that they got some great hats. As seen worn by Big Sean and Tyga.

Shawty Lo Ft. Twista & Wale - Pocahontas (New Music May 2011)

Pretty catchy tune from this bunch, i'm surprised Twista still can rap at the speed he does on this one, and hey, I can slightly understand him! Wale goes in as always...

Download

Curren$y feat. Freddie Gibbs - Scottie Pippen

This latest track from "Covert Coup" is what we can generally expect from spitta, a smooth beat to complement his smoooth voice. Looking forward to Wednesday when Covert Coup drops.

NORE feat. Curren$y and Ace Hood - Stand Tall

I can't remember the last NORE song I heard, but it's safe to say it was a while a go. Pretty decent song although I have no idea why it is edited

Mac Miller - High Eyes (3)

When rappers and other high profile people make videos showing us what a day in their life is really like, it really allows us to relate to that person. I think that that's one way to get a real grassroots fanbase started. We saw Wiz Khalifa do it with DayToday and we're seeing Mac Miller do it with Fun is for Everyone and High Eyes. I feel like Mac Miller's life is just one big high school party. Who wouldn't want that right?

Wiz Khalifa - Hero Freestyle

Here's a little bit of a throwback for you and, personally, one of my favorite freestyles of all time. I picked this video to post because (1) the lyrics of this song are incredibly clever and well put together and (2) I normally don't like tags but listening to this song with and without them has allowed me to see how pumped up I get from some guy just yellin shit in the background here. You can down load the whole Star Power mixtape here. Enjoy

Slim Thug feat. Rick Ross - How We Do It (Official Video)

This song came out off Slim Thug's Tha Thug Show back in November of last year, but the video dropped very recently. I love Lex Luger's beats, but I wish he would try and do something a bit more creative. A lot of his stuff (although it might be very good) sounds the same and I'd like to see him try a little something new in the future. Still, I think Thug does work on the track and Ross, as usual, is a good feature. I think I'm gonna go listen to Slim Thug the rest of the day. Peace

Wiz Khalifa feat. Chevy Woods - Can't Fuck Wit It

Thanks for this one khalifafans.com. This song reeks of old school Wiz, which makes me wonder when it was actually made. Regardless, I think its a good track. Get it

Chevy Woods - The Cookout (Feat. Wiz Khalifa) (Prod. By ID Labs)

Chevy Woods and Wiz team up on a Taylor Gang original. Chevy Woods is great on features with Wiz and you can look forward to more fire from these two.

Mac Miller - People Under the Stairs

Download and listen here

Mac has recently said that for every 100 thousand twitter followers he gets, he'll release a new song. So go out and follow him! What a great idea for more fans. He's a clever one that Malcolm

Best Album Cover Ever?

VS

I know I know, i'm about 2 years late, but I was looking at Burn After Reading and was like wow, Burn After Rolling is such a clever album. First off the album title is just genius, and the fact that the cover of the album has a Young Wiz posing like the original movie poster, is such a clever idea. Guy is one of the smartest rappers in the game hands down.

EDIT: I am "Some other guy" on the reviews.

Wale ft Meek Mill - 100 Hunnit

Wale is just fucking dope. Enjoy this shit

Fabolous - Look At Her (Killin Em Part 2)

Sick Jam!

Foo Fighters - Rope (deadmau5 mix)

I have always been a huge deadmau5 fan ever since Sdery23 showed me "Ghosts and Stuff" and this collab with Foo Fighters is the best of both house music and rock music. A must download for a fan of each genre.

Gambino over Kanyes All of the Lights

This kid is great... J.E.T.S.

Bei Maejor Ft. J. Cole - Trouble

Trouble

Cole doesn't come in until about 2 minutes in but this is still a pretty good piece of work. I'm very impressed with the production. Give it a listen yourself!

Lil Wayne - Show 'Em What You Got

I'm very back and forth on post-jail Lil Wayne. This isn't my favorite but what do you guys think. I like the hook but the rest of the song just doesn't really tickle my fancy

Wiz Khalifa

I almost got the chills when I watched this. This trailer is pretty intense if you ask me. Bill Paladino definitely knows how to put some good shit together. Anyways, I'm interested to see this season of DayToday now that Wiz has blown up to the general community. Like Tupac said in "Notorious", once you reach the top there is nowhere to go but down. Let's hope for the best for our good friend Cameron. I can't wait to see people like Snoop Dogg, Mac Miller, and Wiz's new girlfriend in this season.

Zion I Tribute

This song is awesome. A good feel with good lyrics. Heard it on Pandora the other day and it sparked me to listen to more Zion I. Lets see how you like it. Ill post a few more songs I like.

Rick Ross feat. Wale and Meek Mill- Pandemonium (Music Video)

M-M-M-More Maybach Music. Another similarly themed music video by Rick Ross. These are the kinds of things that get me psyched up for Self-Made. Get it

Rick Ross feat. Drake - Made Men (Official Video)

M-M-M-M-Maybach Music

Curren$y - Full Metal

Curren$y Dropped another leak off of covert coup today called "Full Metal". I'm really digging his flow on this album thus far, as i personally felt that "Return To The Winners Circle" was a bit of a let down. Looking forward to a new leak on 4/18...

Wiz Khalifa & Curren$y VS. Nipsey Hussle

VS.

I like what Nipsey as done with the beat, but to be honest I am partial to Wiz and Curren$y (big surprise). What do you all think?

Rolling Papers Left Overs: G Shyt & Fly You

G Shyt:

Fly You:

These songs that were released today were left over from Rolling Papers, and leaves me to ask, for what reason? Straight fire from Wiz, and probably more of the type of music I like to hear from him. I'm really diggin G Shyt, and Fly You sounds kinda like a Roll Up clone, but whateves...enjoy

Wiz Khalifa - Roll Up (live on Letterman)

check out that frohawk!

New Fabo mixtape

this is real.

Wiz Khalifa vs. T.I.

Who does better on the beat? Give us your feedback!

The Real Airplanes

I guess originally, Lupe was supposed to be on the track but because of differences with Atlantic Records, they basically told him to fuck off and put B.o.B on the track instead. Not saying B.o.B didn't do a good job with it, but what Lupe did was pretty nice. Give it a listen yourself and yes, you can fast-forward through the Hayley Williams part. Enjoy

Tayyib Ali - Supermodel ft. Amandi

This guy has got some real promise to be one of the greatest. With great production and the ability to spit fire, kids goin places.

Corner Boy P - Lane Switching Video

Saw this on jetsfoolblog.blogspot.com and I must say I like it. I had never heard of this guy until today, and i'm kind of digging his monotone swag. Plus Curren$y chillin with a Ferrari is pretty boss.

Lupe Fiasco VS. Kid Cudi

I was pretty bored today so I decided to dig deep in the classics department for a nice little VS action. Kid Cudi and Lupe both go in on this A-Trak beat, so who do you think does it better?

Nipsey Hussle - Tha Mansion

Nipsey has pretty ill flow on this one, hoping to hear more like this from him. This song is defiantly one you can blast from your speed boat while speeding through Miami.

Download

Saigon - Get Busy

This song came out awhile back but I still think it's worthy of gettin up on the site. Saigon has some skill and you gotta love the old school SuperMario sample he's on. A very underrated rapper if I do say so myself

Saturday, April 9, 2011

Royce Da 5'9 feat. Eminem - Writers Block

These two together might be the best duo in hip hop. If not the best then the most overlooked would probably be a suitable way to describe it. Both have unreal flow and the smartest lyrics. Looking for an album of these to together soon.

more Dubstep

Needed to add this once I heard it. Rusty K- Deja Vu

Dubstep Of the Day

NERO - Guilt VIP

Enjoy this Hard Dubstep with Electro feel.

Beastie Boys

New Beastie Boys with intergalactic oldschool feel.

The Freshnes Black & Yellow

This shirt is awesome on all levels. The iconic picture of Young Wiz is great, and brings us all back to a time when he rapped about being hard and shit.

Cop it here

DJ Drama feat. Fabolous, Wiz Khalifa, Roscoe Dash - Oh My

Beat sounds kind of similar to "No Hands" so you can kind of make the assumption that this is a similar kind of song. I can see this being played at parties in weeks to come.

Download

Mac Miller - Fun is for Everyone (Volume 3)

Here's Mac's equivalent of Khalifa's DayToday... A day in the life of Mac. Can I please? I love that he still acts like a little kid. I mean, he is only 19 so what can you expect

Thursday, April 7, 2011

G of the Day

Morgan Freeman everyone. This guy is the man. He's played Nelson Mandela, Lucius from Batman, and even God amongst other prominent roles. This G stands for God my friend. No one's got a voice smoother than Morgan. Need an actor to play a character to play a G in a movie, get Morgan Freeman. Shouts to M-Bricks on this one

Wiz Khalifa - Taylor Gang Video

Wiz's video for his bonus single "Taylor Gang". You can also hear this song on the Cabin Fever Mixtape. #TaylorGang

Sick Diamond Shirt... cop it at karma loop

Wiz Khalifa Throwback

About this time last year I had hopped on the Wiz Khalifa train and it became normal to hear 'Deal or No Deal' blasting from my room. This song in particular brings back the fondest memories of busch lights and the sweet smell of spring. Enjoy

Diamond X Soul Assassins Snap Back

A Pretty ill snap back if I do say so myself, if you like it I recommend you try and cop it before it does out of stock, which with Diamond products is almost immediately

Wale feat Black Cobain - 4AM

Its pretty apparent that Wale never sleeps, guy has put out 3 songs in 3 days and each one is better than the last. Take a listen to this new one called 4AM.

Download

Curren$y - Ventilation

New track from Curren$y off that Covert Coup album. If this doesn't make you excited for this record I don't know what will.

Download

Woke up Feelin this....

This song is sick... Everything from start to finish is straight fire. gotta love #dubstep

From now one everyday i will posting one Dubstep song... a little diversity never hurt anyone did it?

Enjoy..

Berner feat. Wiz Khalifa and Big K.R.I.T

This song has a pretty funky beat, kind of sounds far eastern, but Wiz throws up a classic verse and the other two bros throw out pretty solid verses themselves.

Download

Moufy - Twist It and Light It (OFFICIAL VIDEO) (Prod. by SEMIproductions)

Not going to lie I along with a majority of you, saw this on barstool sports. This song has an ill beat and a killer flow (and a catchy hook) so I figured id give it some publicity. Since EVERYONE follows this site.

Wale feat. Mac Miller - So What

Here's So What be Wale and Mac Miller. And no surprise, it's awesome. A little different from Mac's usual sound but I like what he does with the beat (which was in all likelihood produced mainly for Wale)

Curren$y - JETS Ft. Trademark The Skydiver (Music Video) (BMF)

Props to Alex Napier for this hidden gem.

Covert Coup

Curren$y's new album 'Covert Coup' is set to drop on 4/20 for free. If that doesn't tickle your fancy I don't know what will. The fact that its free just shows that Curren$y is a bro, and on 4/20?! Its sure to be a good day and a great album. Track list is down below.

BBS
The Type featuring Prodigy
Blood Sweat and Gears featuring Fiend
Ventilation
Life Instructions featuring Smoke Dza
Smoke Break
Double 0 7
Scottie Pippen featuring Freddie Gibbs
Full Metal
Coming Up

Edit: Curren$y said that he was planning on releasing a track from this album today! Check back later for a listen.

Throw Back Wednesdays

Based on fatso's most recent post, I decided to throw up the first Gang Starr song I had ever heard, that being "Rite Where You Stand". I remember listening to it in Flannel Man's basement and immediately being hooked. To me Gang Starr is easily overlooked as one of the greatest hip hop duo's of all time, and when they teamed up with Big L, it was an eargasm to say the least. RIP Guru & 'Big L Rest In Peace'

This is hip hop at its realest, real guys talking about real problems, and I know we blog rappers who rap about material items, AKA new age rappers, but to me, the greatest rappers of all time were the rappers who actually rapped for a reason, those in the late 80's early 90's who defined the genre. It's unfortunate that Guru and Big L will never be able to make such music ever again.

Fatso Strikes Again

Maino feat Lloyd Banks - Anti-Freeze Freestyle

Not much has come out in terms of Maino, and to be honest I can't call myself a fan. I Gave this song a listen and liked what I heard, and a feature of Lloyd Banks never hurt anyone.

Download

Rapsody feat. Mac Miller and Halo - Extra Extra

Mac Miller puts out more music than Sasha Gray does for dick.... this guy's the man!

No Sticks No Seeds

Support my man Dat_Kid_from_CT_Turned_Masshole and his new blog No Sticks No Seeds. Clearly this is a blog dedicated to smoking weed and the lifestyle that comes with it. I would be lying if I said he knew the first thing about designing a visually stimulating site, but i'm sure once he learns the ways of HTML, he will be off to the races! Tune in for the latest on Cannabis Culture

Chiddy Bang feat. Mac Miller - Heat Wave

Two hot new artists gettin together for a hot track

Download

Snoop Dogg feat. Wiz Khalifa - This Weed is Mine Official Video

Is it possible for Snoop and Wiz to make antyhing bad?

Split Second- Blood Diamond Video!!

Split Second is fresh as shit on this beat.... gotta love the video.. #Fresh

Katy Perry - E.T. ft. Kanye West

The beginning of this video kind of reminds me of this, all things considerd, I know a certain man by the name of William Pennysworth who would dig Kanye in this.

Find The White Guy

White girls clearly do not count in this one! This white guy isn't very sneaky

Wiz Khalifa - Wisdom

Watch out for Wiz's new unofficial mixtape droppin 4/20: Wisdom. Rumor has it that it's all unreleased Wiz from back in his younger days. It should be of the same sort as an "Everything Taylored" kind of thing I imagine. Watch out for that, should be a hot one

Wale feat. Rick Ross & Jadakiss

Look out for Maybach Music Group. This is a radio stream that played this morning, but I really like it and I really like the Maybach Music Group. I feel like Ross wasn't nearly big enough (popularity-wise) when the movement started but with the release of Teflon Don and being featured in some pretty hot songs, he's really blowing up like you thought he would. I don't know about you, but I'm super pumped for the Self Made CD. And Wale just tweeted that the CDQ version will be droppin soon so we'll keep you updated on that too

Edit: Wale posted the clean version CDQ...lame that it's edited but here it is Download

Rick Ross ft. Lil Wayne - 9 Piece (Remix)

This was a great song before Weezy jumped on it and I think Weezy did a pretty good job with the verse. I think it goes without saying that this is something that was done after he got out of jail. What do you guys think about this and Weezy's post-jail run in general?

Throw Back Mondays

This song's a classic, with a smooth beat by Pharrell and a mean attack at swagger jackers, you can't go wrong. Just thought I would take you all on a ride into the past...

Chevy Woods - Campaign

Watching this video without a red cup in hand just doesn't seem quite right. Here's the official video for "Campaign" off "Red Cup Music." Enjoy friends

T.I. - Aston Martin Music (Remix)

I wish T.I. could stay outta jail. There's not much he puts out that I don't like, and I think this verse follows the same suit

Soulja Boy - SNRS

We always post songs that we like, but this is gonna change it up a bit. This is the worst song ever. Soulja boy's lyrical content and flow is far below elementary. He sucks, plain and simple

Gorilla Zoe - Mile High Club

this song has a good Zoe Feel im diggin it and looking forward to hearin more from this dude!!

Kid Cudi - Capcom

This is supposedly droppin on CuDi's next mixtape titled "A Man Named Scott." Clever name indeed. A pretty intense song, I feel like it belongs in Mulan

Mac Miller - Get Up Video

Mac Millers video to his song "Get Up". With each listen of "Best Day Ever" it gets better, just like all of Mac Millers mixtapes (in my opinion)
