Kirko Bangz - Drink In My Cup

I have never heard of this cat before, but this song is blowing up the internet like none other. Song has a great feel to it, and we can all relate to the lyrics. Every day when you go fill up your class with water, you got your drink in yo cup.

Download Below:

Chevy Woods - The Drive (ft. Mac Miller)

A great track for a late night drive from Chevy (see the irony there) and Easy Mac.

Drake - Headlines

This song is the first official single off Drizzy's upcoming album "Take Care." I'm not gonna lie, I think this song is gonna need to grow on me, but I think it has a lot of potential. I think it's safe to say we're gonna see a lot more from young Aubrey with the release date for this album set for October 24th.

Game feat. Dr. Dre & Snoop Dogg - Drug Test

This song is short but sweet, im glad to see Snoop and Dre on this one, and the fact that Snoop resurrects a classic line is awesome. Im not sure if this will be on R.E.D Album, but we shall see.

Trina ft. Lil Wayne - Don't Trip

This is obviously an older song (it was released in 2005) , but one I found recently browsing through mash-ups on youtube. Just something I thought everyone should enjoy and something I should share

Childish Gambino - Rolling in the Deep (Remix)

Here's a little bit of an older song. It's about 6 months old but it's just too good not to post. Get ready for me to post a lot of this guy in the near future, cuz I've been bumpin him non-stop lately. Every time I listen to his stuff, I hear something new that I missed the last time. He's funny without even knowing it. My favorite thing about him is that he's real. He raps about himself and what he does and that's it, plain and simple. Give him a listen and I'm sure you'll enjoy. I know the radio murdered this original song, so if you wanna skip ahead to the good stuff, Gambino jumps in at about 2:40

Wiz Talks About Curren$y and Big Sean Tracks

Get More: MTV Shows

If you have listened to How Fly, you know its straight fire. Wiz and Curren$y really did it big on that mixtape, and im glad he had the insight to realize that they would benefit from another artist. I really hope they make more tracks for a How Fly 2 tape, but we shall see.

Dat Kid From CT Turned Masshole

Who is this mystery man? The latest author for this site enjoys loud music, Kanye West, and Mortal Kombat. Look for posts from him in the categories listed above. Welcome to the C&S Family!

Cake Effect - Say Black and Yellow Everyday

Another spot by Dat Kid From CT Turned Masshole. I've always enjoyed the fact that the only acapella versions of Wiz songs (for the most part) are Say Yeah, This Plane, and Black and Yellow. While it means there is less variety in the mash ups you can make, it just makes it interesting to see each persons version of those vocals. Enjoy this one!

Throwback Thursdays

In my opinion Pilot Talk II is one of the best Curren$y albums out there. You can listen to this album front to back no problem. With that in mind, I decided to post the intro track, Airborne Aquarium. This song is a must have in any hip hop collection, Spitta tellin a story about enjoying life. Jet Life.

Buy Pilot Talk 2:

Another must listen is Hold On. Got me into Young Roddy, who has the second verse.

Im On One (Karetus Remix)

Shout out to Dat Kid From CT Turned Masshole for the find. Im a big fan of dubstep remixes to popular rap songs, so its great that this is the second one in two days! Enjoy.

Mac Miller - Whateva

New Mac Miller! I love that even with a recently released quality mixtape, a number of features, and a new release with every 100K twitter followers, the kid is still throwing out tons of music. I'm lovin it. This is straight heat. Download here:

Young Buck - Geeked Up

For some reason I have always been a fan of Young Buck, ever since I first heard G-Unit's Beg For Mercy album back in the day. Buck always seems to come with consistency in his songs, and while his songs generally sound the same, it's not necessarily a bad thing because that's his sound. Hopefully more Buck tracks will be circling around the internet in weeks to come.

New Single Off Of Detox?

Apparently 50 Cent took it upon himself to release Dr. Dre's next single off of Detox called 'The Psycho' at 2:00. A.M or P.M doesn't seem to be a concept 50 grasps, but it is possible he means military time. We shall see if he follows through with this statement, and hopefully with this single release, it will mean that Detox is finally on its way.

Joell Ortiz feat. Novel, Bun B, & Tech N9ne - Night Train (Remix)

Track is smooth as hell and packed with meaning. Not much else to say about it.

Download Below:

Look At Me Now (Huxley Remix)

Shout out to Capo Da Don on this one. I have been waiting for a decent dubstep remix of this song for a long time and its finally here (although this remix was released 4 months ago). Crank the bass and enjoy.

Moufy - Profile Pic

Pretty solid banger from Moufy, off his upcoming mixtape Boston Lights. Look for more from him in the near future.

J. Cole feat. Trey Songs - Can't Get Enough

Supposedly this is off of Cole World and if thats true, this album will surly turn out to be fire. With each track he drops the better they get.

Kali - Glasses On A Gloomy Day (Mixtape)

Kali released his mixtape yesterday titled Glasses On A Gloomy Day. This Statik Selektah produced tape goes pretty hard. Kali is often overlooked in my opinion, but is soon to blow up. He has notable features, such as Busta Rhymes and Termanalogy, and his solo tracks do not disappoint. Where Kali shines are in his tracks with meaning, be on the look out for those when you listen to this tape.

Assasins:

Nas feat. Keyshia Cole - More Than I Can Say

This beat is simple as fuck, and Nas goes hard over it. Just goes to show that Hip Hop isn't all about an elaborate beat, its about the words the artist is saying.

Rockie Fresh feat. Tayyib Ali - They Don't Understand Why

This song is Fresh. Diggin the collab with these to artists and im looking forward to hearin more. Enjoy..

Wale - No One Be Like You

I'll admit I dropped the ball on this one, Wale tweeted it was going to drop at 6:30 and I forgot about it. In any event, a solid track, I really dig the tribal feel this song has. I have always been partial to that type of sound and Wale does great with it.

Kali - Life Goes On

This song was released a couple weeks ago, but I feel like it could use more listens. Kali is an up and coming rapper originally from the Lowell area, and his material gets better with every release. Check back in two days for his mixtape Glasses On A Gloomy Day.

Fatso's Back

Throwback Saturday

Looking for something old school to nod your head to? Well Chris Wallace has what you need. This song came on my shuffle and I immediately felt it needed to be listened to be all. Real rap by a real man. RIP Biggie.

Wiz Khalifa, Big Sean, & Curren$y - Proceed

Yet another release from Wiz Big and Spitta. We'll keep you posted until the rest of the mixtape is released!

Wiz Khalifa, Big Sean, & Curren$y – Dot Dot Dot

Here's another joint from these talented three. I'm lovin the leaks from the new mixtape and I'm just so darn excited for it to be released! Arguably, these are three of the best young rappers in the game today so their mixtape shouldn't be anything less than gold

Download Below:

Mac Miller - Best Day Ever (Official Video)

Before I say anything else, I'd like to say that the home video at the beginning of this is adorable. The funniest part of it is that it seems like Mac hasn't changed one bit.

Wale feat. 2 Chainz - Globetrotter

Not bad from Wale, this type of song isn't really his forte in my opinion, but Wale's verse is still killer.

Big Sean Confrims New Mixtape

Coming from our chief correspondent Dat Kid From CT Turned Masshole, we've recently learned that Big Sean, Wiz and Curren$y are in fact going to release a mixtape in the upcoming weeks. You can read more about this at XXL.

Wiz Khalifa feat. Curren$y and Big Sean - Weed Browinies and Flowers

This is the second and third song with these three spitting over a Big Jerm beat. Could this possibly mean they are gunna release a mixtape? One could only hope that my assumption is true, and it would be an epic mixtape.

Kali - Certified Ft Termanology

Kali is a local hip-hop artist thats taking off fast! this track is hot along with most of his mixtapes... check him out @ www.kaliraps.com

Phil Ade feat. Killa Kyleon - You're The One

I hadn't heard of this Phil Ade guy till last week when he dropped a track with Mac Miller. Having said that, this song is not half bad. With more songs like this he should be well on his way to stardom.

Download below:

Royce Da 5'9 feat. Travis Barker - Legendary

Royce Da 5'9 always sounds nice over a Travis Barker assisted beat. Must be something about his powerfull delivery that makes the track as a whole sound awesome.

Download below:

Wiz Khalifa feat. Curren$y and Big Sean - O.T.T.R

It's nice to see Wiz collab with Spitta again. I'm still waiting for that How Fly 2. Big Sean also does his thing on this Big Jerm produced track. These three work very well together, kinda like Wale, J. Cole and Curren$y. Hopefully we will see more of these epic collaborations soon.

Dom Kennedy feat. Curren$y - Hennessy Beach

Curren$y is a dominant force when it comes to this type of beat. He has a knack for killing a slow beat, with his southern drawl. Dom Kennedy also does pretty well for himself on this one.

Download below.

A look towards the weekend...

DRAKE - Trust Issues [Dubbrocca remix]

JASON DERULO - Dont wana Go Home [Dubrocca remix]

KAP SLAP - Penguins Collide [Dont Sue Me edit]

Wow, these songs make me feel like its 3 AM sunday morning on the party bus home from Boston. Party Buses are the way to go if you want to go into the city and have a great time. This picture isn't of the bus I was on but it was similar to it.

Dr Dre VS. Busta Rhymes

Who would win in a fight? I mean they are both enormous.

VS

Snapback Hats

Looking for some ill snapbacks to buy for the end of the summer? Well Vintage Snapbacks has what you need. They have a great selection of classic teams, and color combos that you don't see these days. Also they have Signature brand hats, which in my opinion fit/look the best. Check them out for yourself.

Calvin Harris - Feel So Close (Nero Remix)

Pretty solid Nero remix. I can't say I've heard the original, but this track is pretty sick.

Download below:

Mac Miller - Just a Kid

New Mac Miller song, due to the fact that he got another 100,000 followers. It seems like just yesterday that Stouks da 6'3 showed me him, and now he's rackin in the fans no problem. But I digress. A song about having the whole world in front of you I guess...

Download below:

Curren$y - Run Dat Shit

Spitta just tweeted this track like 5 minutes ago, and its straight heat like always. Curren$y never disappoints, and if you are not a fan of him, listen to him as background music, and you will be hooked. J.E.T.S

DJ Khaled feat. Ace Hood, Meek Mill, Big Sean and Vado - Future

Shout out to Dat Kid From CT Turned Masshole, on the hint to check out Ace Hood. Pretty standard Khaled song, but an all star cast. Also in the song "Im On" by Trae Tha Truth I heard Wiz's line "smokin Khaled / my weed the best" today and it made me chuckle.

Phil Ade feat. Mac Miller - Incense

Smooth track that fits both these guys styles perfectly. A nice relaxer for a summer afternoon.

Worlds Steepest Roller Coaster

It's doubtful anyone of us will ever make it to this roller coaster in Japan, but it broke the world record for the steepest vertical drop in the world. It doesn't get more G than that in the world of roller coasters.

Wale feat. J. Cole - Bad Girls Club

To me, any Wale song with J. Cole is great. I'm seeing a lot of hating on J. Cole's hook, sayin it shoulda been Drake on it. Drake?! Sorry but Drake would not have fit in this song at all. I'm sure i'm going to eat my words at the end of next week when Drake releases a remix or some shit like that. Also, have you ever seen the show Bad Girls Club? It's hilarious. Download below.

P.S Video coming soon....

Wale feat. Big Sean and B.o.B - First Class

Taylor Swift ft. Wale & Curren$y - Fearless Word Play (SNAKE BIT Remix)

While we might not be the biggest fans of mash-ups here at Crew Necks & Snap Backs, you can't deny a good one when you hear it. It doesn't get much better than T-Swift with some quality rappers. This might not blow up quite like Mean Planes and Taylor Gangs did, but it's certainly a quality track nonetheless. Sit back and enjoy, especially you dat kid from CT turned Masshole.Download below

Lil Wayne - Sorry 4 the Wait

This is Lil Wayne's mixtape which is sort of a prelude to Tha Carter IV. It's basically just Weezy going over other artist's beats throughout the mixtape. I haven't been able to give it a listen yet, but you can bet your bottom dollar that I'll be bumpin it while I'm mowing those lawns at work today.
